With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thecla Scanlan of Mundelein, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 7, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son Kevin Scanlan; and her sister Mary Ann Partyka. She is survived by: her husband John Scanlan; her children, John Scanlan and Cathy Doyle (John); her grandchildren, Henry, Shannon, Audrey and Courtney; her daughter-in-law Amy Scanlan; and her sister Charlotte Pochman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph Food Pantry.
