She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Dewitt and Ellen Allene Kessel (Tuthill); her son Bret Lynn Cavaness; and her friend Ron Flowers. She is survived by: her sisters, Jan Etherton (Pat), Saralee Bryant and Geegee Abbott (Al Fleming). She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to the United Methodist Church of Murphysboro Building Fund.
