Doris Hines Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Hines of Murphysboro, Illinois, who passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Doris Hines to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, August Rowold and Katherine Rowold; her granddaughter Halylie Hines; and her siblings, Harold Rowold, Katherine Rowold and Esther Hawk.
She is survived by: her husband John Marvin Hines; her sons, John W. Hines, Robert Hines, Michael Hines (Susan) and Kevin Hines; her grandchildren, Rosie and Johnna; and her sister Helen McKenzie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Victory Christian Fellowship (414 N 2nd St, Murphysboro, IL 62966). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park (31 Memorial Dr, Murphysboro, IL 62966).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and/or Victory Christian Church.
