With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edwin L. McLaughlin of Murphysboro, Illinois, who passed away on July 2, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard T. McLaughlin and Dorothy McLaughlin (Vorn Holt); his brother-in-law Brian Young; and his niece Laura Young. He is survived by : his wife Jane McLaughlin of Murphysboro, IL; his children, Jeffery McLaughlin (Lynn) of Cary, NC, Regina Tripp (Brian) of Murphysboro, IL and Vinton McLaughlin (Angie) of Leesburg, VA; his grandchildren, Cortney Russell (John), Melissa McLaughlin, Kalyn Mayer (John), Brooke McLaughlin, Braden Tripp and Aubrey Hancock (Adam); his great grandchildren, Remy Russell, Eli Mayer and Aurora McDonough; and his siblings, Kenneth McLaughlin (Sandi) of Mokane, MO, Janet Young of Mason City, IL and James McLaughlin (Emily) of Mason City, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
