He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Foster and Lula Foster (Cook); and his siblings, Andy Hopkins, Rosie Hamilton and Dora Fricke.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Hopkins; his daughters, Tamarra "Tammi" Williams (John) and Durice Runge (Rick); his grandchildren, Brian (Heather), Jeremy, Ashley, Travis (Rachel) and Madison (Matt); his great grandchildren, Lexy, Rylee, Alex, Aidan and Logan; and his siblings, Alice Ferrill (Butch) and George. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
