It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Tretter of Murphysboro, Illinois, who passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Tyler and Rose Ruth Tyler (Wild); her husband Arthur Tretter; her son Greg Tretter; and her siblings, Lila Mae Ruble, Rose Ruth Elmore, Virginia Silvey, Robert Tyler and Rubie Jewel Rains.
She is survived by: her son Gary Tretter (Jane); her brother Jim Tyler; her grandchildren, Gary Arthur Tretter II (Amy), Ashley Glidewell (Louie), T. J. Tretter (Samantha) and Joe Tretter (Karlye); and her great grandchildren, Josie Tretter, Ellie Tretter, Allayna Glidewell (Austin), Lewis Glidewell and Macie Tretter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to Manor Court of Carbondale.
