He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Stearns (Lipe) and Claud Stearns; and his son Jason Stearns. He is survived by: his wife Linda (Hooker); his children, Frankie (Todd Goro), George "Randy" Stearns (Erica Stearns), Seth Stearns (Nathan Kohl) and Adam Stearns (Mary Budnick); his grandchildren, Liam, Mary, Chloe Goro, Margot, Josey and Caratacus Stearns; and his great grandchild Dottie Goro. He is also survived by uncle and aunt, brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews, and brothers- and sisters-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois in honor of the exceptional end-of-life care George received.
