We are sad to announce that on December 31, 2023, at the age of 75, Guenda Greer of Murphysboro, Illinois, born in Shawneetown, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Roland Barnett and Virgie Barnett; and her sisters, Audra Matthews and Jessie Collins. She is survived by : her husband James Greer of Murphysboro; her sons, Andy Greer (Heather) of Makanda and Daniel Greer (Christy) of Carterville; her grandchildren, Ashley Hickam (Callie Buchanan), Skylar Greer, Elijah Greer (Jaylynn), Jared Greer, Christian Greer and Josiah Greer; her great grandchildren, Spencer, Jayelle and Avalon; and her siblings, Wanda Melton (Pat) of Japan, Velta Angier (Robert) of Dixon, Verna Franklin of Springfield, Delbert Barnett (Annette) of Junction and Derrel Barnett (Andrea) of Elm City. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and honorary family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Southern Illinois Christian Conference (SICC) Youth Camp.
