He was predeceased by : his parents, James Marvin and Laura Ricketts (Knowles); his siblings, Mary, Joanne, Donald, Mitchell, Jimmy and Leon; his wife Carol Ricketts; and his daughter Rebecka Moody.

He is survived by : his children, Carolina Parham (Norman), Lisa Jackson (Johnny), James A., Frank Ricketts and Shadonna Bloemer; his grandchildren, Crystal, Samantha, William, Bill, John Paul and Norman Jr.; and his friend Vivian Parham.
