It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Johnnie Lee Edward Johnson Jr. (Murphysboro, Illinois), born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, who passed away on September 25, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Rev. Johnnie Lee Edward and Lubertha Hilton Johnson, Sr.; and his children, Lubertha Ellis and Rodney Patterson. He is survived by : his children, James Walker, Maurice Patterson, Ruby Renee Patterson, Minnie Patterson, Ryan Patterson and Johnnie Patterson; and his sisters, Martha A. Johnson of Petersburg, Virginia and Irene Bush of Cape Girardeau. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
