With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lynda Gail Homan of Murphysboro, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Loyd Derossett and Lois Derossett (Minton); her grandparents, Homer, Viola Minton, Loyd and Anna Derossett; her niece Lydia Derossett; her brother-in-law Russell Barringer; Daisy and Raymond Homan.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Homan; her daughters, Melissa McDowell (Deryk) of St. Louis, MO and Megan Pittman (WJ) of Murphysboro, IL; her grandchildren, Dylan McDowell of St. Louis, MO, Brayden McDowell of St. Louis, MO, Zoey Cox of Murphysboro, IL, Eli Pittman of Murphysboro, IL and Gage Pittman of Murphysboro, IL; her siblings, Dennis Derossett (Katie) of Lincoln, NE, Jeff Derossett of Pomona, IL, Doug Derossett (Leigh) of Houston, TX, Lisa Kirby (Jim) of Murphysboro and Carla McElroy (Mike) of Mulkeytown, IL; her sisters-in-law, Luella McComb (David) of Murphysboro, IL and Nita Barringer of Murphysboro, IL; Lois Derossett of Murphysboro, IL. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to Immanuel Lutheran School.
