She was predeceased by: her husband James "Larry" Powell; her mother-in-law Kathleen Powell (Anna); her sister Norma "Ruth" Nielsen (Swiatkowski); and her sibling's children, Erica Swiatkowski and Niel Vana.
She is survived by: her son Samuel Powell; her sister Sue Vana (Eric); her siblings' children, Quinn Vana (JoAnn) and Isaac Vana (Anne); her sister Becky Swafford (Joe); her siblings' children, Jacob Reiman (Kelcie) and Bethany Lach (Nick); and her sister-in-law Jan McGrann (Mike).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged and can made to the Christ Community Church of Murphysboro and/or Vine Church of Carbondale and will be accepted at the service.
