He was predeceased by : his father Ralph Bastien; his son Randy Lee Bastien; and his sisters, Kathleen, Dorothy and Ann.

He is survived by : his wife Joan Bastien (Wilmouth) of Murphysboro; his sons, Garry Bastien of Peoria and Kevin Bastien (Debra) of Austin, Texas; and his grandchildren, Amanda Bastien, Bryce Bastien (Jamie) and Kaylee Breedlove (Will). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
