He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin F. Burroughs and Nellie M. Burroughs (Tite); and his siblings, Benjamin, John, Charles Burroughs, Tessie Barlow, Bea Menane, Dora Silva and Eileen Butler.
He is survived by: his son Steve Burroughs (Debbie); his grandchildren, Garrett Burroughs (Courtney) and Rachel McMahan (Aiden); his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Leighton and Beckham Burroughs; and his grandchild Carsen McMahan.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Legion Post #127.
