She was predeceased by : her parents, Fred House, and Ruth House, Sr. (Guin); and her daughter Wonder Thompson. She is survived by : her sons, Jack Thompson of Virginia Beach, VA, Richard Thompson of Murphysboro and James Thompson of Murphysboro; and her brother Tom House of Murphysboro. She is also survived by nine sisters; other relatives and many friends.
