Ruth Ann Richards Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Ann Richards of Murphysboro, Illinois, who passed away on July 19, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Bitner and Gladys Bitner (Imhoff); her husband Homer Lee Richards; and her brother Donald Bitner. She is survived by: her son Robert Richards (Sandy); her grandchildren, Kerry Falkenburry (Matthew), Aaron Richards and Cassie Morgan (Kyle); her great grandchildren, Madison, William, Cole Falkenburry, Kaiden, Kanton Richards, Layla, Grayson and Knox Morgan; and her brother Paul Bitner (Arlene). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pate Chapel Baptist Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
