He was predeceased by: his parents, Marilyn Peter (Leming) and Lewis Peter. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Peter (Henegar) of Murphysboro, IL; his daughter Kaitlyn Peter Hamilton of St. Louis, MO.; his son-in-law Eric Hamilton; his granddaughter Mina Hamilton of St. Louis, MO; his sisters, Carla Kranz of Montgomery, IL and Melodie Sue Wood (Steve) of Sadorus, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Todd Henegar and Melody Henegar of Thomasboro, IL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Open House (214 N 17th St, Murphysboro, IL 62966).
