It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgie Parrish (Murphysboro, Illinois), born in Newbern, Tennessee, who passed away on December 2, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Gaines Johnston and Dollie Mae Johnston; and her husband Homer Quentin Parrish. She is survived by : her children, Lynanne V. Parrish of Carbondale, IL and Jeffrey Q. Parrish of St. Louis, MO; her grandchildren, Tiffany L. Kesler of Waterloo, IL, Brooke A. Lott of Orlando, FL, Paxton Q. Parrish, Preston J. Parrish and Presley R. Parrish of St. Louis, MO; and her great grandchildren, Scarlett Lyn Kesler-Green, Myla N. Lott and Caiden J. Lott.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of love may be directed to Grace United Methodist Church and will be accepted at the services.
