He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Ticer and Kay Marie Ticer (Gale) of Gorham, Illinois.; his grandparents, Elmer, Martha Ticer, Dan and Viola Gale; and his nephews, Stephen Ticer and Jeffrey Ticer.

He is survived by: his wife Tammy Ticer (Baiter) of Murphysboro; his daughters, Cheryl Gass (Jerry) of West Frankfort, Michelle Ticer (James Petrone) and Katie Wojtkiewicz (Eric) of Brookfield, Missouri; his grandchildren, Makayla Gerler, Sierra Aul, James Petrone Jr., Eric Jr., James Londyn, Lovelyn and Lacelyn Wojtkiewicz; his great grandchild Levi; and his brothers, Charles Ticer (Barb), David Ticer (Connie) and Russell Ticer (Christy).
