He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence "Curly" Dawdy and Frances Hubbard Dawdy; his wife Sandy Maddox of Murrayville; and his daughter LaDonna Wilkinson. He is survived by : his children, Chad Dawdy (Bobbi Jo) of Jacksonville, Jeffery Wilkinson (Nancy) of Jacksonville, Kevin Wilkinson of Jacksonville and Shaun Wilkinson (Lindy) of Springfield; and his brother Joe Dawdy (Jenny) of White Hall.
