“Barbara Skala with Roy were second parents to me. After my fathers death when was 12 I needed family attention. I felt very much a part of the Skala family. Barbara was graceful, charming, and a loving mother. She also had a “designers” eye. A very fashionable woman. I was a bit timid of dogs in general but through getting to know her pride my confidence increased. She put me in her car and we went horseback riding. Yes, she helped me jump the horse. Great day! Very fond memories of her.”
