He was predeceased by: his parents, Roman Gapinski and Estelle Gapinski; and his siblings, Constance and Roman. He is survived by: his wife Betty; and his children, Marcia (late Brad), Gregory (Kathleen), Pamela (David), Lynn (Steven), Ruth (Randy), Peter and Catherine (Mark). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
