It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Effie Gramates Foley of Naperville, Illinois, who passed away on May 9, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gramatacopoulos (Γιάννης) and Peggy Nicolaides Gramatacopoulos (Πηγή); and her brothers, James (Δημήτριος) and Thomas (Αθανάσιος). She is survived by: her significant other Ross M. Foley; her children, John Foley (Sarah) and Elizabeth Bludgen (David); her grandchildren, Ross, Benjamin, Katherine Foley, Matthew (Kristina), Thomas and Beatrice Bludgen; and her sisters-in-law, Rosemary Stewart, Elizabeth Gramates and Judith Gramates Davis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
