He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Harnish Sr. and Marilyn Harnish; and his siblings, Charles, Frank and Cheryl.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley of Naperville; his children, Tricia Summerson (Bret) of Eagle River, Rebecca Johnson of Mt. Prospect, Illinois and Shawn Harnish (Jess) of Naperville; his grandchildren, Beth Summerson (Spencer Roudabush) of North Liberty, Iowa, Cody Summerson of Madison, Wisconsin, Jace, Maren and Reed Harnish of Naperville, Illinois.; his great grandchild Thalia Roudabush; his brothers, John Harnish of Las Vegas and Robert Harnish (Jennifer) of Crystal Lake, Illinois; and his sister-in-law Sue Fetko-Harnish of Lake.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fred's memory to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
