We are sad to announce that, on March 25, 2026, at the age of 93, Frederick R. Yndestad of Naperville, Illinois, born in Oak Park, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Jackie; his parents, Henrietta Yndestad and Frederick G. Yndestad; and his grandson Kevin Yndestad. He is survived by: his children, Kurt Yndestad (Laurie) and Kristen Salerno (Joe); his grandchildren, Justin Salerno (Amanda), Brian Salerno, Matt Salerno (Keenan) and Kelly Condra (Austin); his great grandchildren, Jack Salerno and Logan Condra; and his brother Richard A. Yndestad of Naperville.

No matter the rumors of there not being a Santa, I knew better because he was at my house, I am 57, but I can still feel the excitement I felt when the doorbell rang XMas eve.
