He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Clair Porter and Mary Gladys Porter (Thomas); his siblings, Myron Porter, Sr., Leland "Pete" Porter, Nora Margaret Reefer, Sarah Grinder and Wilma Clark; and his granddaughter Olivia Louise Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Porter (Ferkan); and his children, George Porter, II, Faye Porter (Chip McGee), Joseph Porter (Shane Gibbons) and David Porter. He is also survived by brothers, nephews.
