As we bid Irma farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Irma is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Schauer and Kristina Schauer (Pirc); her former husband John J. Markovic; her husband Thomas V. McGuiness; and her daughter Judith Markovic-Lopez.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Markovic-Richards and John Markovic (Joan); and her stepdaughter Maureen McGuiness-Nelson. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bernadine Catholic Church (801 Elgin Ave, Forest Park, IL 60130). A reception will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Alpine Banquet House (11141 Roosevelt Rd, Westchester, IL 60154).
