He was predeceased by: his parents, James Paul Dunnigan, Sr. and Mary Louise Hansen Dunnigan; his siblings, Leo, Mary Rose and Karen; and his nephew Patrick.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Ellermann Dunnigan; his sons, James Timothy (Lisa) and Rodney Michael; his granddaughters, Bailey (Kyle) and Kassidy; and his siblings, Judith (Larry) and Daniel (Laurie).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home (44 S Mill St, Naperville, IL 60540). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Peter & Paul Catholic Church (36 N Ellsworth St, Naperville, IL 60540).
