He is survived by: his children, Erica Stevens (Charles) of Keswick, Virginia and Audra Simel (Mark Bachara) of Oak Park; his siblings, Margaret Smielewski, Bernadette Adis (Kris), Paul Smielewski (Celia), Mary Maher (Tim) and Dorothy Lange (late Carl); and his sister-in-law Deborah Ingram.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church (1450 Green Trails Dr, Naperville, IL 60540). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
