It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean DeVries Benner of Naperville, Illinois, born in Morris, Illinois, who passed away on March 19, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her former life partner Dr. Jack P. DeVries; her parents, Lee Mays and Sophia Mays; and her siblings, Velma Mays, Carl Lloyd Mays, Wilma Mays, Edna Schuman, Lee Mays, Ruth Nienaber and Robert Mays.
She is survived by : her husband Eugene L. Benner; her children, Linda Van Horn (Ramsey), Jerry DeVries, Debbie Schweer (Tom) and Brenda Gregory (Brad); and her stepchildren, Lynn Wilkins (Grayson), Steven Benner (Cynthia) and Laura King (William).
