She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Shipinski and Helen Shipinski; and her brother Kenneth Shipinski (Jackie). She is survived by: her husband Kenneth J. Hougas; her children, Joy Pentz (Michael) of Bartlett, IL, Mark Hougas (Jennie Felde) of Sugar Grove, IL, Keith Hougas (Julie) of Crystal Lake, IL and Janet Edson (Joel) of Plainfield, IL; and her grandchildren, Samantha Huntsman (Tyler), Dean Edson, Broc Edson, Erica Edson, Abby Hougas and Anna Hougas. She is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
