She was predeceased by: her husband Gabriel T. "Gabe" Matia; her grandson Peter Matia; and her parents, Józef Mayer and Susanna Mayer. She is survived by: her sons, Ernst "Ernie" Matia (Wanda) of Macomb, IL and Robert "Bob" Matia (Angela) of Naperville; her granddaughters, Beth Chatterton (Regan) and Nicole Matia; and her great grandchildren, Finn and Miles Chatterton.
