It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Joseph Diforte (Naperville, Illinois), born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 26, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Giuseppe and Catena (Zagarella); his wife Helen (Olsen); his children, Dwight Dixon, Darrell Dixon, Dwayne Dixon (Shirley), David Dixon (Barbara), Debra Wellington (Rick), Toni Kellens (Bill), Tina Browning (Kurt), Joseph L. Di Forte and Sandi Hermanowicz; and his siblings, Joseph F. Di Forte and Mary Bottari.

He received Lifetime Achievement Awards from; the International Athletic Foundation, the Pitch and Hit Club, and the All-American Amateur Baseball Association, as well as other awards for recognition of his community service.
