She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Swaim and Ann Swaim; her son Jimmy Melody; and her siblings, Gerald Swaim and Barbara Smith.
She is survived by: her husband James Melody; her children, Jackie Zaleski (Richard Razabdouski), Jeff Melody (Bonita Bligh), Mike Melody (Nicole Frigerio), Christopher Melody (Zeena) and Cindy Jackson; her grandchildren, Paul Zaleski, Jen Zaleski, Nic Zaleski, Charlie Melody, Joe Melody, Daniel Melody, Bre Melody, Jonah Melody, William Jackson and Ethan Jackson; and her great grandchildren, Leo, Henry, Milo, Angie, Jimmy, John, Julia, Betsy, Sam and Wesley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Blake-Lamb Funeral Home (5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, IL 60532). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St Joan of Arc Church (820 Division St, Lisle, IL 60532).
