We announce the death of Matthew Frank Slana of Naperville, Illinois, who passed away on July 13, 2026, at the age of 90. Matthew will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Slana and Frances Slana; his sister Carol Andrejasich (Ray); his former wife Charlotte Eich; and his stepson Dean Bellin.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his sisters, Mary Alice Hope (Tom) and Rosemary Standish (Tom); his children, Matthew Slana of Kenosha, WI, Chuck Slana (Carol) of Naperville and Susan Schnoor (Scott) of Noblesville, IN; his grandchildren, Michael Slana, Jean Caddick (Brendan), Amy Fitzgibbon (Kevin), Tori Rodriguez (Willian) and Brian Schnoor (Thea); his great grandchildren, Connor, Zoe and Mateo; Curt Bellin.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Matt's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
