She was predeceased by: her parents, Kermit F. Johnson and Mable N. Johnson Schemahorn; her stepfather Murl Schemahorn; and her close friend Elvie Evans. She is survived by: her son Jeff Gray of Chicago; her brother John W. Johnson (Peggy) of Wichita; her stepsister Mary Carlson (Scott) of Atlanta; her granddaughters, Serenity and Autumn Gray of Chicago; and her former husband John C. Gray of Plano, Texas..
