He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thornley and Marjorie Thornley. He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his children, Melissa Beierwaltes (Paul) of Woodridge, IL and Garreth Thornley (Michele) of Palatine, IL; his granddaughter Julianne Jacobsen (Chase); his children, Colin Beierwaltes and Isabella Ellwein; and his great grandchild Nathan Beierwaltes.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chicago Blaze Rugby Club (13011 W Smith Rd #4417, Lemont, IL 60439).
