He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Pierce and Carrah Pierce (Elam); and his brother Kenneth. He is survived by: his wife Susan (Kaspar); his children, Rich, Ed Pierce and Lauren Richardson (Dave Jr.); and his grandchildren, Claire Richardson, David Richardson III and Emily Pierce.
