He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Stahler and Gladys Stahler; his wife Patricia; his brother Robert Stahler; and his son-in-law Steven Duranceau.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Duranceau Obenland (John) of Naperville, Karen Doiel (Patrick) of Lake Summerset, Julie Stahler of Naperville, Greg Stahler (Liz) of Wheaton and Doug Stahler of Vero Beach, Florida; his grandchildren, David Doiel (Maria), Tony Stahler, John M. Obenland (Christy), Sarah Baxter (Chad), Stephanie Vogel (AJ), Andrew Duranceau, Victoria Arnold (Matt), Shannon Doiel, Peyton Stahler, Lexi Stahler, Madison Stahler, Ethan Stahler, Sydney Stahler and Nolan Stahler; his great grandchildren, Eli, Owen, Liam, Lucy Vogel, Noelle, Ezekiel Obenland, Kamila Pierre and Vivienne Arnold; and his sister Joan Blake (late George). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
