He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Steck and Esther Steck; his parents-in-law, Ray and Elsie Sovereign; and his siblings, Charles Steck (late Patricia), Jean Sigmund (late Don) and Marilyn Grewe (late Bob).
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Sovereign Steck; his children, Sindy Gregory (Dean) of Sugar Grove, IL, Stacy Wiora (Marty) of Naperville, Selaine Stegmann (late Jerry) of Sandwich, IL, Steven Steck (Heidi) of Plainfield, IL and Sonya Shuey (Greg) of Bloomington, IL; and his grandchildren, Janeé Kazda (Jacob), Jalina Reinhardt (Jason), James Gregory (Mindy), Kelli Forg (Rose), Kelsey Wiora, Selynda Kern (Ryder), Shauna Barding (Chad), Sandy Henert (Cole), Chase, Mia, Caleb Steck, Natalie, Danielle, John and Lauren Shuey.
