It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah E. Schmid (Naperville, Illinois), born in West Salem, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 26, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mary Betthauser and Leo Betthauser; her husband David F. Schmid; her children, David (Rachel) of Dayton, OH, Roger of Naperville, IL, Mary Biegel of Bolingbrook, IL, Jane Williams (Jon) of Lititz, PA and Cathy Wehrli (Dave) of Yorkville, IL; her grandchildren, Margaret Layding (Marty), David Schmid (Kathrin), Sarah Jackson (Jason), Rachel Wagner (Loyal), Roger Schmid (Meghan), Randell Schmid (Stefanie Hodek), John Biegel (Michelle), Katie Truex (Justin), Sarah Williams, Mary Williams, Annie Ramsey (Zach), Michael Wehrli (Casey) and Daniel Wehrli (Lacey); her great grandchildren, Samuel, Matthew, Caroline, Isabelle Layding, Alexa, Philip Schmid, William, Luke, Isaac Jackson, Eiven Schmid, Fyodor, Francesca, Alec Schmid, Grant, Nathan, Maddie Biegel, Jamie, RJ Ramsey, Clara, Andrew Wehrli and Wren Wehrli; and her siblings, Mary Lee Sazama (Stanley), John Betthauser (Linda) and Helen O'Brien. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
