He is survived by: his children, Barbara Sassen (Roger) of Lisle, IL, James "Jim" Knapp of Lisle, IL, Carolyn Sladek (David) of De Pere, WI, Dr. Charles "Chuck" Knapp (Silvia Alvarez-Clare) of LaGrange Park, IL and Thomas "Tom" Knapp (Nikki) of Naperville, IL.; and his grandchildren, Sarah Jane Gumina (Josh), Annie, Julia, Ted Sassen, Joseph, Eleanor, Audrey, Lydia Sladek, Lucia, Matias Knapp, Brooke, Drew, Doug and Mark Knapp.
