He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Shanley; and his parents, William Shanley and Mary Shanley. He is survived by: his children, Mary Ellen Whelan (Mike), Dr. Thomas P. Shanley (Maureen Garrity), Christopher J. Shanley (Sarita Singh) and Timothy J. Shanley (Meg White); his grandchildren, Dr. Patrick, Timothy (Erica), Mary Kate Weithers (Kevin), Christopher Whelan, Lauren, Molly Kucich (Andy), Ashleigh, Matthew Shanley, Jordan Shanley, Ryan, Quinn, Peter and Charlie Shanley; his great grandchildren, Teddy, Jack and CJ; his sisters, Rita Kelly and Fran Hazam; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Wozniak (Fred) and Joseph Panas (late Margaret).
