He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy B. Hughes and Margaret Hughes; and his brother Bill Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hughes of Nashville, IL; his children, Maggie Hughes of Nashville, IL and Michael Hughes (Cody Holmes) of Denver, CO; his stepdaughters, Tisha Perry (Dennis) of Okawville, IL and Angie Malone (Sam) of New Minden, IL; his grandchildren, Eric Perry (Gabriella), Alex Perry, Abby Perry (Mike Trinklein), Aiden Perry, Dylan Malone and Jessi Malone; his great grandchild Lucas Perry; and his siblings, Bob Hughes (Jo) of Belleville, IL and Karen Spilman of Mt. Vernon, IL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the NCHS Music Department or Washington County Animal Shelter and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
