She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Novak and Rose Novak (Piechnik); her husband Herman J. Preis; her daughter Joan Someske; her siblings, Lorraine McNamara, Adeline Novak, Bernice Schaefer, Rita Flure, Dominick, Albert, Clemens and Thomas Novak; and her siblings-in-law, Ed, Burt, Ray, Mary, Florence, Dorothy and Margaret.
She is survived by: her children, Alberta "Birdie" Karl of Collinsville, IL and LeRoy Preis (Susan) of Okawville, IL; her brother Walter Novak (Pat) of Columbia, IL; her sister-in-law Martha Novak of Elephant Butte; her grandchildren, Michael "Kaz" Karl, Jr., Nichole, Ronald Karl (Amy), Trina Vetter (Shawn), Jennifer Preis (Kelly Norwood), Jeffrey Preis (Deanna) and Rebecca Galle (Derek); and her great grandchildren, Corwin, Evander, Erik Karl, Nicolas, Alexis Vetter, Davin, Clayton Galle, Myla Preis, Max Karl and Evelyn Norwood. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
