He is survived by: his wife Brenda Busby Fitzjarrald; his children, Marjorie Schmitt (Todd), Rebecca Priest (Chris) and Ron Bollin (Karee Robinson); his grandchildren, Charlie, Erika, Eleanor, Jackson, Claudia, Piper and Kinley; his sisters, Martha Goetz and Doris Duvendack (Jim); and his sister-in-law Cathy Bollin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schmitz - Banks and Beals Funeral Home (2420 Young St, Nauvoo, IL 62354). A rosary was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (170 N Wells St, Nauvoo, IL 62354).
A memorial has been established in his memory for the Nauvoo Knights of Columbus.
