She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Schnepf and Maxine Schnepf (Sutton). She is survived by: her husband Marvin Smith; her daughter Emily; her son-in-law Chris Higgins of Walnut, Illinois; her son Timothy Smith; her daughter-in-law Megan Miller-Smith of Iowa City, Iowa; and her grandchildren, Chelsea Higgins, T. J. Daniel of Vancouver, British Columbia, Braydon Higgins of New York City, Waverly and Matilda Smith of Iowa City. She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home (701 12th St, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Moline Memorial Park.
