We bid farewell to Harold Ballinger of Neoga, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 27, 2026 at the age of 90. Harold touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Ballinger and Marie Ballinger (Price); his son Michael Ballinger; and his sister Loretta Meek (John). He is survived by: his wife Margaret (Schwerdt); his children, Cyndi Ambrosch (Rick), Deborah Kaufman (Steve), David Ballinger (Anna) and Mary Lee (Alan); his daughter-in-law Diana Ballinger; his grandchildren, William Rahn (Kayleigh), Alissa Wilder (Austin), Sarah Ambrosch, Amber Willenborg (Drew), Derick Ballinger, Brianne Kaufman and Gunner Ballinger; and his siblings, Carl Ballinger (Debbie) and Darlene Keck. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home (520 Oak Ave, Neoga, IL 62447). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church (690 Walnut Ave, Neoga, IL 62447).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to the St Michael School of Sigel.
