He is survived by: his wife Sharna Schwindt of Neoga, Illinois; his children, Kristi Fritts (Brian) of Mattoon, Illinois and Scott Schwindt (Olivia) of Springfield, Illinois; his siblings, Fred Schwindt (Fatima) of Wildwood, Illinois and Diana Nicke (Jim) of Sebring, Florida; and his grandchildren, Paige, Tristan and Ellis Schwindt.
Memorials are suggested to the Robert Schwindt Memorial Fund for scholarships to students pursuing a career in education.
