He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe E. O'Dell and Judy Sue O'Dell (Swengel); and his niece Candis O'Dell. He is survived by: his wife Lisa O'Dell of Neoga; his children, John O'Dell (Shawna) of Gays, Susan Hartman (Josh) of Windsor, Andrea Schweska (Cully) of Monticello and Katy Oakley (Ben) of Charleston; his grandchildren, William O'Dell (Emma Meinhart), Natalie O'Dell, Jackson Hartman, Halcyon Schweska, Bennett Hartman, Aivynn Schweska, Sophia Hartman, Beck Oakley, Briggs Oakley and Cully Finnick Schweska; and his brother Tim O'Dell (Carol) of Neoga. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Bill O'Dell Memorial Scholarship Fund for Neoga graduates who demonstrate community excellence and are pursuing a career in the funeral service industry , healthcare, or other civil service careers.
